Assistant Program Director

The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in ensuring that program needs are met and that all clients receive high-quality supportive services in their communities. This position helps ensure the safety and well-being of youth released from ORR custody.

Requirements

• Serve as the secondary liaison with ORR and act as Program Director during periods of leave.
• Work collaboratively with the Program Director to ensure all ORR-required services are provided consistently and in compliance with policy.
• Directly supervise Case Manager Supervisors, Case Managers, Administrative Coordinators, and other assigned staff.
• Ensure all staff are appropriately hired, trained, and onboarded.
• Ensure Safety and Compliance requirements for the office are met and maintained.
• Participate in case staffing and engage in multidisciplinary problem-solving for complex cases.
• Develop and propose program policies and procedures to the Program Director.
• Foster a work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates high-quality staff.
• Maintain an active and accessible presence to support day-to-day program operations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
• Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and implement improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support successful program or departmental operations.
