Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist. The role will involve developing, monitoring, and overseeing the overall operation of pharmaceutical services for oncology at all infusion locations, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Develop, monitor, and oversee the overall operation of pharmaceutical services for oncology at all infusion locations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulatory standards
- Assist in the controls of the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related substances and supplies
- Participate in department planning, revenue analysis, and budgeting
- Assist in applicable meeting and committees involving clinical pharmacy
- Monitor activities of the Oncology Pharmacy Department and take appropriate actions as necessary
- Direct the purchase and inventory, storage and distribution maintenance of all pharmaceutical items in departmental and patient care locations
- Participate in the development or revision, implementation and communication of policies, guidelines and standards for the Oncology Pharmacy Department
- Maintain a system of records in accordance with hospital policy for recording patient charges as well as maintain adequate controls over requisitioning and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
- Maintain formularies, information resources and references for preparations
