Job Description
Substance Abuse Specialist responsible for maintaining an effective trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) and tobacco use prevention program (TUPP) at the San Diego Job Corps Center. Promotes awareness, prevention, education, intervention, and staff training. Provides counseling and personal development sessions. Works closely with center recreation staff to develop community alternatives. Refers in-patient care to health and wellness director and utilizes community resources as needed.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted substance abuse certification or license per state requirement
- One (1) year experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Computer proficiency
