Scientist III

Scientist III leads complex research projects, designs innovative assays, and provides strategic input to the R&D team at Myriad Genetics. The role requires expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA and RNA extraction, Next Generation Sequencing laboratory workflows, laboratory automation, and informatics analysis.

Requirements

• B.S. with 10+ years of industry experience in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science
• M.S. with 8+ years of industry experience in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science
• Ph.D. with 4+ years of industry experience in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science
• Expertise in molecular biology techniques that include DNA and RNA extraction, Next Generation Sequencing laboratory workflows, laboratory automation, and informatics analysis
• Experience with cell-free DNA workflows such as MRD highly preferred
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching assays into a clinical setting
• Excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong leadership and project management skills
• Proven track record of scientific publications and presentations preferred
• Comfort with command-line analytical tools, bash and Python preferred
