As a Sub Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, supporting the Head Chef, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the onboard kitchen.
Requirements
- Appropriate training for the position (preferably in Hotel School)
- Experience in the position in tourist cruises and/or hotel and/or restaurant
- Managing food costs defined in the budget, conducting monthly physical inventories, and maintaining financial control
- Supervising the process of incoming raw materials, ensuring the quality of products and inventory management
- Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Excellent knowledge of national and international cuisine
- Good knowledge of English (preferential factor), with knowledge of German being valued
- Availability to embark on the Douro River during the cruise season
- Cooperation and mutual help in dividing tasks on the ship-hotel
- Execution of loading, control, and verification of incoming raw materials
