Maintenance Assistant

Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems throughout the facility. Help maintain the exterior grounds of the facility, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance, to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred
• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of basic maintenance principles, techniques, and tools, with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and quality standards
