Head of Legal, India

Nomura is seeking a Head of Legal to lead and manage the Legal team in India, providing strategic legal support and guidance to overseas operations. This role requires a seasoned legal expert with expertise in financial services, compliance, and risk management, and the ability to oversee legal services, negotiate agreements, and ensure regulatory adherence. The company is a global financial services group with operations across numerous countries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the Asia ex-Japan region
• Extensive knowledge of legal principles and regulations for the financial services industry
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Experience in leading and managing legal teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
