Principal Infrastructure and Platform Engineer

Nomura is seeking a Principal Infrastructure and Platform Engineer to join its team in Mumbai, India. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working on AWS in a design and/or DevOps engineering role, with a strong background in building and operating multi-account AWS Landing Zones. The role involves designing, deploying, and implementing enterprise-scale AWS solutions, as well as mentoring junior team members and providing technical oversight.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working on AWS in a design and/or DevOps engineering role
• 7-9 years of experience in building or operating a multi-account AWS Landing Zone
• Strong experience with AWS Governance suite of services, including AWS Control Tower & AFT, AWS Service Catalogue, AWS Organizations, IAM roles, policies, permissions boundaries, and resource-based policies
• Strong experience with AWS Networking constructs, including VPC, subnets, route tables, direct connect, direct connect gateways, DHCP, DNS, and Route 53
• Strong experience with AWS Identity constructs, including SSO via IdP federation
• Strong experience with AWS Logging and monitoring concepts, including CloudTrail, CloudWatch, s3 replication, and bucket policies
• Strong experience with AWS Images, including AMIs and AMI build processes
• Strong experience with Code development using AWS SDK/Boto and Python
• Strong experience with Terraform IAC for AWS Cloud
• Strong experience with Gitlab Enterprise and version control best practices
• Experience in documenting designs, system & process workflows in JIRA / Confluence
• Ability to provide mentoring to junior team members, including line management, technical oversight, and workload prioritization
