Lead Business Analyst

Nomura is a financial services group with an integrated global network. We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead strategic and BAU projects in the IT Surveillance domain. The role requires working closely with business units to determine requirements, perform data and gap analysis, and prioritize issues.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex technical requirements into business solutions
• Conduct workshops, assessments, and strategic planning activities
• Ability to handle communications and build relationships with technology teams and business users
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of producing project artefacts (business requirements, functional specifications, test scripts, testing)
• Strong understanding of, or the ability to quickly gain such, of applicable laws, regulations, and guidance in the subject area as well as the desire to keep up with changes in a complex environment
• Experience of AI / ML to improve business processes
• Excellent understanding of the SDLC process
• Delivery experience using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Understanding of AML/Trade Surveillance/Control Room concepts
• Proficient in SQL from a query perspective on a large database platform (eg MS-SQL, Oracle etc.)
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud, basic Python programming skills, AI/ML
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence in communicating with and advising senior executives
• Detail and quality oriented
