Job Description
North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to perform duties in conjunction with the NTMWD Facilities Services operations. The position is responsible for the operation of specialized heavy equipment necessary for the excavation of pipeline facilities and various other construction type activities.
Requirements
- Operates and monitors performance of heavy construction type equipment
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Responsible for housekeeping in assigned units
- Cooperates with other departments to ensure work is done efficiently and correctly
- Observes safe work practices through proper use of safety equipment and procedures
- Oversees work crew on daily basis
- Hauls heavy and oversized equipment to various job sites
- Participates in a rotational "ONCALL" work status
- Works overtime as needed
