Job Description
North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities in an industrial setting. The position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment and production equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment similar to that used in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings
- Ability to comprehend, carry out and administer written and oral instruction
- Proficiency in the use of the District Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Ability to read operations and maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints and safety data sheets
- Considerable knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
