Mechanic - Wastewater

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a Wastewater Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of wastewater facilities and associated systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing predictive, preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, and will also train and lead staff under the direction of supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Perform predictive, preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for facility assets
• Train, lead and mentor staff under the direction of supervisory staff
• Create and manage service requests and work orders for needed repairs
• Evaluate equipment condition and performance by observation and using inspection tools
• Follow job plans and recommend revisions to job plans to ensure safe and consistent work practices
• Monitor the facility for any breaches of security and alert appropriate law enforcement agencies and/or supervisors
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report problems during emergencies and scheduled shutdowns
• Maintain facility and work area housekeeping
• Receive shipments and monitor unloading processes
• Comply with applicable policies and procedures
• Assume the responsibilities of direct supervisor(s) and subordinates as required
