Academic Advisor

The Academic Advisor provides student-centered support and guidance to undergraduate Business majors at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, assisting with college and university policies, course selection, preregistration, registration, and co-op scheduling. The Advisor serves as a liaison between university administrators, students, parents, faculty, staff and others regarding students’ academic success.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required, preferably in counseling, human services or higher education
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of work or educational experience; preferably in higher education
• Excellent computer (Excel and Word), written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated counseling ability utilizing development theory to create a student-centered academic environment
