Graduate Student Advisor

The Graduate Student Advisor provides specialized support to Master's students in the College of Science, offering guidance on their academic progress and advising on relevant policies, procedures, and other relevant topics as needed. This position is a critical part of supporting the graduate student population of the College, and serves as a de facto mentor and leader within the graduate administration team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in higher education or sciences, including math, required
• Two years or more of experience working in a higher education, nonprofit, or related professional environment required
• Strong organizational, case-management skills required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work with enterprise-level databases and proactively manage tasks across a variety of systems required
