Job Description
The Occupational Therapist role involves assessing individuals with severe mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities to identify areas for improvement in daily living skills. The therapist collaborates with other professionals to develop strategies and provides recommendations for remediation and enhancement. This position also involves providing referrals, monitoring clinical outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Interviews individuals.
- Develops treatment plans and monitors training.
- Prepares reports for regulatory agencies.
- Provides OT services such as OBRA, BHH, and assistive technology referrals.
- Conducts clinical outcome and satisfaction measurements.
- Participates in community education.
