Therapist position available at NorWest Community Health Centres in Thunder Bay, ON. Provides evidence-based, trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. Collaborates with primary care providers and community partners to support integrated, team-based care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or related field.
- Current registration in good standing with one of the following regulatory bodies: College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience providing psychotherapy, including experience with complex mental health presentations.
- Experience working in a community-based, outpatient, or primary care mental health setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practice, anti-oppressive frameworks, and culturally responsive care.
- Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural issues affecting 2SLGBTQI+, Indigenous, Black, newcomer, uninsured, and other equity-deserving populations.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer applications.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to an interprofessional team.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle; ability to travel between sites as required.
