The Business Sales Manager will be responsible for strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels, managing complex existing and potential customers within an assigned product category.
Requirements
- Maintain consistent contact with customers and prospects
- Analyze and validate sales forecasts provided by customers
- Analyze existing accounts for margin improvement and increased volume opportunities
- Design strategies and proposals to accelerate inventory movement
- Identify projects to convert other packaging materials to glass
- Receive and process customer purchase orders
- Quote and negotiate prices and contracts
- Use pending orders, sales history, inventory levels, and customer input to develop sales forecasts
- Communicate significant customer information with Marketing, Supply Chain, Credit, and Sales Service
- Monitor the activities of the competition
- Achieve sales volumes committed in the company budget
- Generate plans to ensure broad penetration into mid-level accounts
- Generate, develop, and close sales opportunities
- Develop presentations to resolve/address customer issues
