Senior Technical Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to assist our customers with a wide range of problems related to MySQL. The role involves interacting with customers, other Support members, and Oracle teams to provide technical assistance and support. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in MySQL products and a high degree of professionalism when representing MySQL.

What You Will Do

The Senior Technical Analyst will be responsible for solving customer problems, contributing to the development and maintenance of our Knowledge Base, and interacting with customers in written and verbal form. The role requires flexibility and the ability to communicate effectively with customers with varying skills.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL products, proficiency in SQL, and experience with command-line environments. English proficiency is also a requirement, and experience with cloud infrastructure, cluster environments, and computer languages is a plus.

Requirements

• Solid background in MySQL products
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with command-line environments
• English proficiency
• MySQL Certification (within the first couple of years in the position)
• Experience managing or supporting MySQL in a production environment
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure preferred)
• Experience with cluster environments (MySQL InnoDB Cluster or NDB Cluster preferred)
• Knowledge of at least one computer language (C, C++, or Java preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to independently self-motivate and manage multiple priorities
