Job Description
This position is responsible for the discovery and appraisal of tangible personal property for ad valorem tax purposes. The appraiser will conduct physical inspections, gather data, and calculate values using various resources.
Requirements
- Conduct a physical inspection of tangible personal property
- Gather data related to property type, age, condition, and quantity
- Calculate the value of taxable tangible personal property
- Investigate incomplete or questionable tax returns
- Confer with property owners or their representatives
- Prepare Property Appraiser Office Value Adjustment Board (VAB) evidence packages
- Assist with special assignments
