Job Description
This part-time position offers the opportunity to work one-on-one with developmentally disabled individuals, facilitating community inclusion and helping them achieve their personal goals. Flexible schedule, evening and weekend hours are available, focusing on work in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island.
Requirements
- A desire to work with adults with disabilities
- Ability to provide positive motivation to others
- Must be caring, dedicated, responsible, and patient
- Work directly with individuals in their home or out in the community
- Planning and implementing activities that help foster independence
- Helping individuals develop social and relationship-building skills
