Applicant Pool for Tutors, Writing Center

Writing support tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups with undergraduate students to assist them in identifying and correcting writing weaknesses and empowering them to edit and revise on their own for success in future writing projects.

Requirements

• Knowledge of student-centered tutoring strategies.
• Knowledge of writing practices, developmental writing and composition curriculum standards and writing formats.
• Experience tutoring and/or teaching at the college level is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills are necessary.
