Plant Engineering Leader

Role Overview

The Plant Quality and Technical Engineering Leader is accountable to ensure a quality product is being manufactured to meet or exceed our customer expectations. They establish and maintain accurate process recipes for operations to safely produce products that consistently meet codes, specifications, and customer requirements at the lowest cost. They are accountable to continuously improve the manufacturing process using Total Productive Maintenance ideologies and tactics (TPM) to eliminate waste, improve safety, reduce cost, increase capacity and productivity, and improve the product.

What You Will Do

The Plant Quality and Technical Engineering Leader will have responsibility for ensuring a safe, clean and environmentally compliant work environment, developing risk assessments for critical tasks, identifying and teaching Critical Product Characteristics, developing and implementing procedures and systems to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, and supporting experiments or trials for new and existing products.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or technical environment
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, master's degree preferred
• Strong background in Statistical Process Control techniques
• Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
• Lean Certification or evidence of Lean Manufacturing experience
• Knowledge and experience with design of experiments
