Job Description
This role supports the Y, a leading nonprofit focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Fitness Instructor leads energizing group classes in a safe and positive environment, building community and adapting class as needed. They provide education, support, and celebrate participant achievements.
Requirements
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (within 90 days of employment if not certified)
- National certification in group fitness instruction (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification
- Continuing education/renewals of certifications within 30 days of hire
- YMCA New Employee Orientation and Mandated Reporter Training
- Yoga, Pilates, spinning/cycling, Zumba certifications (preferred)
