Care & Service Manager - RN/RPN

As a Care and Service Manager, you will lead clinical supervisors and front line staff to make a difference in the lives of patients. You will coach and mentor staff, monitor care delivery performance, and provide clinical leadership at the district.

Requirements

• Registration/licensing in good standing as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with provincial regulatory college
• BScN preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years in a formal nursing leadership role required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in a community setting
• Certification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferred
• Membership with the appropriate Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO or RPNAO) preferred
• Working knowledge of applicable health care legislation
• Knowledge of standards of care for palliative, wound, IV therapy and other specialties
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Effective skills in critical thinking and problem solving
• Flexibility in hours worked
• Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
• Current certification of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada
• Excellent computer skills including experience in Word and Excel
• Able to provide a current, clear criminal back check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
