As a Care and Service Manager, you will lead clinical supervisors and front line staff to make a difference in the lives of patients. You will coach and mentor staff, monitor care delivery performance, and provide clinical leadership at the district.
Requirements
- Registration/licensing in good standing as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with provincial regulatory college
- BScN preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years in a formal nursing leadership role required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in a community setting
- Certification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferred
- Membership with the appropriate Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO or RPNAO) preferred
- Working knowledge of applicable health care legislation
- Knowledge of standards of care for palliative, wound, IV therapy and other specialties
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Effective skills in critical thinking and problem solving
- Flexibility in hours worked
- Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
- Current certification of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada
- Excellent computer skills including experience in Word and Excel
- Able to provide a current, clear criminal back check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
