Environmental Remediation, Geologist, Scientist

We are seeking an Environmental Remediation Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to support environmental legacy management operations. The role involves technical oversight, project planning, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder commitment for complex remediation projects.

Requirements

• Review and provide technical evaluation of consulting engineering firms' work products to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Develop and manage budgets for site investigations, remediation activities, and long-term operations/maintenance
• Monitor progress and costs of consulting engineers on large, long-term projects against established estimates
• Create and maintain project schedules; track performance against timelines and deliverables
• Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for major tasks; evaluate bids for compliance and recommend contract awards
• Interpret and apply regulatory guidance for site investigations and remediation activities
• Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding project progress and schedules
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for site closure
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, review contractor performance, and engage with stakeholders
