Job Description
The Physician Assistant is an integral member of the West Ottawa HART Hub clinical program, providing a wide range of services under the supervision of licensed physicians, including comprehensive triage, medical assessment, diagnosis, crisis support and treatment to patients with varied health, social, cultural, and economic barriers.
Requirements
- Graduate of a bachelor or master’s level physician assistant training program in Canada or the United States.
- Registration as a Physician Assistant in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, or eligible for registration.
- Experience working in the field of primary care, mental health or addictions medicine – preferred.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations experiencing various social, economic and health-related challenges – preferred.
- Understanding of high priority communities and their health challenges.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.
- Fluency in English essential, other languages desirable.
