Operates a Teller window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service, maintains security of a cash drawer; represents the Bank in a courteous, professional manner alert to customer needs, cross-sells bank products, and refers customers to the appropriate staff.

- Will be involved in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash.
- Operate a tellers window to serve the banks customers by: Accepting retail and/or commercial deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customer receipts.
- Identifying customers and cashing checks, or referring customers to an officer for authorization to cash checks.
- Enters transactions into computer and issues customer receipts.
- Accepting savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying signatures.
- Providing additional customer services including Official Checks, Personal Money Orders, Savings Bonds, and Stop Payments.
- Balances cash daily by counting cash at the beginning of shift and balances cash and checks against computer records at the end of the shift.
- Accepting payments for loans.
- May be responsible for bank opening/closing under dual control.
- May be asked to assist in operational and servicing needs of the ATMs.
- May be asked to admit customers to safe deposit boxes.
- Open and close vault under dual control. May assist in vault maintenance.
- Promote the banks products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.
- Make a concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
- Observe suspicious behavior and report any such activity to head teller and/or security personnel as appropriate. In the event of a robbery, remain calm and follow bank procedures to safeguard customers and staff.
