Tower Technician

Role Overview

Install, maintain, and repair wireless communication equipment on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. Climb and work at heights to perform tasks such as antenna and line installation, tower inspections, troubleshooting signal issues, and ensuring all equipment meets safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

Install, maintain, and repair antennas, coaxial lines, connectors, and other telecommunication equipment on towers and rooftops. Climb and work at heights on communication towers, often exceeding 100 feet, while following all safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid Driver’s License, and meet Point Broadband’s driver eligibility criteria to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to travel outside home market up to 50% of the time; amount of travel could be higher depending on customer projects and business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of Tower Climbing Experience
• Certification in tower safety and rescue (e.g., NATE, ComTrain, or equivalent)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Excellent organizational, mathematical skills, and computer skills
• Ability to multitask and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
• Previous knowledge of networking principles, ethernet standards, power systems, cable testing, and industrial construction is a plus
