Accounting Manager

Powerhouse Arts (PHA) is seeking an Accounting Manager to support its continued growth and ensure strong financial stewardship across the organization. The Accounting Manager will oversee internal accounting activities, partner with colleagues to strengthen financial systems, and supervise a direct report.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a nonprofit environment
• Strong working knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, including contribution and grant accounting
• Experience reviewing journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations
• Experience maintaining strong internal controls
• Experience working in partnership with external accounting/CPA firms
• Experience with mixed revenue models
• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
