CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift

The CNC Machinist 2 operates under minimal supervision, operating CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts. Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

Requirements

• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Loads and unloads raw materials
• Uses measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
• Operates CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance
• Understands and can function using M and G codes
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of cutting tools
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
• Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
• Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
