As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in selling to government agencies, identifying potential new clients, developing strong relationships, and achieving revenue targets. You will work with internal teams to ensure alignment on revenue initiatives and contracts, and stay up-to-date on market trends and regulatory developments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in solution sales, business development, and/or sales within the public sector
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Policy, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of industries like financial services, banking, credit reporting, and the public sector
- Proven success in developing and managing relationships that drive revenue growth and customer acquisition
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics and market trends
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Ability to travel to meet with clients in-person, attending trade shows, speaking engagements and industry events
