The Manufacturing Engineer I is responsible for driving cost reduction activities through process improvements to directly impact the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. This position significantly impacts Regal Rexnord's ability in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning, Purchasing and Marketing Team to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain ownership of process development activities and Engineering projects
- Manage projects tightly to detailed master program schedules and milestones
- Participate in RBS events (company's operating management system)
- Develop, improve and maintain processes
- Create and maintain process definition packages, procedures, engineering standards, tooling, and work instructions
- Support development of process validation packages
- Lead in Identifying & driving continuous improvement opportunities within the facilities and at our supplier's locations
- Serve as technical expert and lead technical discussions with stakeholders regarding manufacturing of Rexnord Aerospace products
- Contribute to the breakthrough process development
- Reduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all forms
- Optimize productivity through efficient, ergonomic and safe workstation and process designs
