Senior Software Engineer - Run Management

Rippling is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Payroll Run Management team. The team is responsible for automating global payroll operations, and the engineer will own complete feature development for payroll run systems and lead incident response and on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional work experience in a high-paced environment building large-scale systems
• Strong expertise in Python and Django
• Experience with MongoDB and designing scalable database architectures for high volume financial data
• Proven track record in building fault-tolerant systems that require 99.99%+ uptime and handle mission-critical operations
• Strong CS fundamentals and data structures knowledge
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration and state management for complex multi-step processes
