Job Description
The Senior Commissioning Technologist is responsible to commission and test primary and secondary power equipment in the field, including maintaining medium to high-voltage substation power delivery equipment. The role also involves mentoring and educating junior technologists and setting up and operating test equipment to diagnose and analyze the performance of power delivery equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Field Testing and Commissioning
- Experience in substations required
- Experience with relay testing with various equipment and software
- Familiarity with power transformers, high voltage switches, breakers, CT's and PT's, NGR, and Capbank
- Competent and comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite
