Mine Engineer

The Mine Engineer coordinates activities related to mine design systems, programs, and processes, ensuring short- and long-term plans are aligned, production goals are achievable, and operations run efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification or licensure in geology or mine surveying is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mining planning, preferably long-term planning.
• Experience with geological modeling, production planning, and resource optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
• Understanding of geostatistical methods and orebody modeling.
• Willingness to work in Brokopondo and Paramaribo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break
• A copy ID & a valid proof of good conduct ‘Bewijs goedgedrag’.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English.
