The Mine Engineer coordinates activities related to mine design systems, programs, and processes, ensuring short- and long-term plans are aligned, production goals are achievable, and operations run efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification or licensure in geology or mine surveying is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mining planning, preferably long-term planning.
- Experience with geological modeling, production planning, and resource optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Understanding of geostatistical methods and orebody modeling.
- Willingness to work in Brokopondo and Paramaribo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break
- A copy ID & a valid proof of good conduct âBewijs goedgedragâ.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English.
