Lead Cloud Platform and DevOps Engineer

Lead Cloud Platform Engineer and DevOps for a large-scale cloud-based data processing environment in AWS native, with responsibilities including architecting, building, and supporting new platforms, designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions, and collaborating with team members to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience designing and supporting cloud infrastructure and services
• Strong experience with cloud-based data processing, storage, orchestration, and automation services
• Experience building solutions with key AWS technologies such as S3, Glue, EMR Serverless, Lambda, MWAA, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks
• Proven experience with designing creative new solutions in AWS native
• Experience with solution architecture, including evaluating technology options, design, build, validation, and promotion
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages for automation, tooling, and platform development
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
