Controls/PLC Technician - 2nd and 3rd Shift

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery seeks a Controls/PLC Technician to respond to downtime calls, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. The role requires a strong background in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with industrial automation systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to drive innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• One year of experience or more leading workplace teams with the Company or equivalent industrial maintenance/controls experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair/install hydraulic components and systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair/install pneumatic components and systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair/install electrical components and systems
• Strong experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting using ladder logic, function block, and structured text
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, robotics, and industrial automation systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, PIDs, and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, and DeviceNet
• Ability to properly use shop tools and produce work within specified tolerances
• Ability to weld, cut, fabricate, and install components and systems as engineered or instructed
• Ability to change and update electrical prints (CAD)
