Job Description
ScotiaTech is seeking a Software Engineer Specialist to join the Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) team. The role involves working with end users, designing and implementing solutions, and improving the user experience, particularly within the Capital Markets areas. The team supports Scotiabank's corporate, investment banking, and capital markets businesses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Java 17 and J2EE.
- 3-5 years of experience in Spring framework and Spring-boot, spring-integration.
- 3-5 years of experience with streaming architecture like Kafka, Elastic Search.
- ORM framework and JPA.
- Tibco MQ and JMS connection.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficient with Unix Tools, shell scripting, SQL queries, PL/SQL, SQL Loader
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
