The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe workplace for HaiSea Marine employees, providing subject matter expertise on all aspects of occupational health and safety, and developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with safety-related policies and other administrative controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Occupational Hygiene or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or an equivalent certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of occupational health and safety-related experience in an industrial unionized setting is required.
- Experience in the marine transportation industry is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license is required.
