Job Description
The Heinz History Center seeks a full-time Volunteer & Intern Coordinator to lead and grow its volunteer & intern programs. The successful candidate will oversee the recruitment, selection, retention, training, and placement of all unpaid staff (volunteers & interns) and ensure the volunteer/intern needs of all departments are being met.
Requirements
- High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in volunteer coordination and recruitment.
- Experience in recruiting a core of volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience using volunteer management software (Volgistic) is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a positive approach to problem solving.
- Be detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs.
