Patient Care Technician – Medical Surgical Unit

We are hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA on the Med Surg Unit. This is a full-time, nightshift position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent and American Health Associate BLS Certification within 90 days of hire. The ideal candidate will have one year of prior healthcare experience and be certified as a Nursing Care Partner, CNA, NCMA, or NCPCT. The Patient Care Technician will provide patient care, support admissions and discharge, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of a professional nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• American Health Associate BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
• One year of prior healthcare experience
• Certification as a Nursing Care Partner, CNA, NCMA, or NCPCT
