
Job description
The Director, Business Development manages a regional territory, generating revenue by selling clinical trial services to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical educational institutions. They develop and execute sales and marketing strategies, support a team of account executives, and utilize CRM systems to track performance.
The Director will identify new business opportunities, secure contracts, and execute the sales process to generate revenue. They will also visit and call on prospects, research clients, and manage relationships with assigned customers.
This role requires strong business-to-business sales experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced matrix organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and be able to travel regularly.
