Training Supervisor

Join Smithfield as a Training Supervisor and lead the On-the-Job Training (OJT) department, driving the development of a highly skilled and adaptable workforce. As a visible presence on the plant floor, you'll coach new employees, cross-train existing staff, and reinforce best practices in real time. You'll also oversee training records, budgets, and resources, ensuring the OJT department delivers maximum value while empowering employees to grow and succeed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2 + years of relevant experience in a production environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Leadership experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project
• Critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both written and oral formats
• Technical and training expertise with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Collaboration and workplace culture with the ability to foster strong working relationships and a positive, supportive work environment
• Bilingual with the ability to communicate effectively in more than one language (asset)
• Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environments and contribute to team success
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support operational needs
