Job Description
The Southern Poverty Law Center is seeking a Community Organizer intern to work on state campaign projects and efforts, conducting research and analysis, and developing outreach materials. The intern will be based in the Jackson office and will work remotely with occasional evening and weekend work.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
- Strong academic background
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Passion for advancing civil rights and social justice issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexibility to participate in work events on some weekends and evenings
Benefits
- Paid hourly at $17.95 per hour for 15 hours per week for 18 weeks
