The Southern Poverty Law Center is seeking a Senior Policy Counsel committed to advancing voting rights policies to achieve a multiracial democracy. The role involves building relationships with policymakers, analyzing and drafting legislation, and advocating for SPLC's policy priorities on voting rights.
Requirements
- Experienced in developing policy solutions and proposals, and transforming them into actionable initiatives
- Skilled in analyzing and drafting legislation, conducting in-depth policy research, and developing innovative policy recommendations
- Strategic visionary with ability to craft a vision and take calculated risks to develop and execute strategies and legislative proposals
- Innovative with ability to craft and strategically advance inventive policy solutions to address systemic barriers to voting
- Adaptable with ability to work with policy makers across the political and ideological spectrum
