Job Description
The Southern Poverty Law Center is seeking a Senior Policy or Policy Counsel to advance civil rights and racial justice, focusing on federal anti-discrimination laws and combating hate and extremism.
Requirements
- Develop policy solutions, proposals, and recommendations
- Analyze and draft legislation, conduct policy research, and develop policy advocacy campaigns
- Cultivate relationships with policymakers, coalition partners, and community members
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external meetings
- Train and mentor policy staff and interns
