Compliance Director

Spruce Street Compliance is a compliance and operations consulting firm seeking a Compliance Director to oversee financial management of client portfolios in DC. This role reports to the President and involves preparing and filing campaign finance reports, maintaining client bookkeeping, and providing financial reporting to clients. The firm supports progressive causes and has previously supported clients like Pennsylvania Democratic Party and Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance.

Requirements

• Manage compliance team including Managers and Associates
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients
• Lead preparation and filing of federal and non-federal campaign finance reports
• Maintain client bookkeeping file, budget, and cashflow
• Provide financial reports to clients
• Perform bank and compliance software reconciliations
• Register and terminate client’s federal and nonfederal registrations
• Process disbursements and track outstanding invoices
• Oversee and process client payroll and staff benefit programs
• On-boarding and off-boarding client staff
• Maintain compliance with GAAP
• Oversee compliance correspondence
• Create, implement, and administer efficient workflows
• Develop relationships with vendors and assist with client procurement
