Job Description
The Virtual Patient Observation Attendant observes patients via technology under the close supervision of a registered nurse and reports any behavior changes or patient requests to the assigned nurses.
Requirements
- Report on/off duty to registered nurses
- Receive observation guidelines from registered nurses
- Ensure a safe environment for patients under the direction of a registered nurse
- Remain in visual contact with patients at all times via designated IT technology platform
- Identify self to patients and family members or significant others
- Provide virtual continual observation and monitoring of multiple patients at a time
- Report behavior changes and patient requests to assigned nurses
