Job Description
We’re looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations at our client's Massillon or Canton plant, overseeing a team of skilled maintenance technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, and helping keep food manufacturing operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Requirements
- Lead & Develop the Maintenance Team
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians across multiple shifts
- Assign daily work orders, track progress, and ensure timely completion
- Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing skill development
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce all facility safety policies
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ensure proper operation of processing, packaging, refrigeration, and utility equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and equipment history
- Ensure maintenance activities meet GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FDA/USDA standards
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to prevent contamination risks during maintenance work
- Partner with production teams to prioritize repairs and minimize disruptions
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when needed
- Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through improved processes or equipment enhancements
