Job Description
Stantec is recruiting for on-call Archaeological Field Technicians for upcoming projects in New Cumberland, PA, Annapolis, MD, and Charlottesville, VA. The role involves surveying, excavation, and documenting archaeological sites, along with artifact identification and organization. They emphasize a commitment to safety, quality, and ethics and a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Survey transects up to fifteen miles in length daily
- Recordation and delineation of archaeological sites
- Completion of archaeological site forms and related paperwork
- Excavation of test pits, trenches, or other excavation
- Identification and description of soil profiles, horizons, artifacts, and cultural features
- Artifact organization, processing, and inventory
